Singapore thus far

Hello All,
Well, I have started a blog... first time, but I think it is the easiest way to tell everyone what it is like to be here!!!!

We are doing very well. It was a fairly busy Christmas/New Years, but had relaxing moments. We have all of our household goods unpacked minus hanging things on the wall... it will be done soon enough haha. Our good were delivered a couple of days before Christmas, so instead of unwrapping gifts we were unwrapping boxes. Granted we haven’t seen our stuff in a while so it felt new. Haha. Below are some pictures...

To celebrate the season we went on this thing called a Duck Tour. It is an amphibious vehicle that drove us through downtown and floated in the water where we toured the Southern part of the island - attractions such as the Marina Bay Sands hotel (famous spaceship), Gardens by Marina Bay and more.

On Christmas Eve we had dinner on a giant Ferris wheel - Singapore Flyer (http://www.singaporeflyer.com/ ) and we saw the city at night. It is unlike me to do actives that involve heights, however this was not as bad as expected. Not to mention I think the Singapore Flyer is the largest Ferris wheel in the world. It was beautiful to see the skyscrapers and the hotel that looks like a space ship (Marina Bay).

Well, this is the end of my first entry. I am loving living here so far and will have more to come. Just know we are doing great and miss all of you. More to come soon. Blessings!!!

  1. I'm so excited that you started a blog! Singapore looks amazing and I'm so impressed at you attitude. You are always so optimistic. (Lol, I'm typing this one handed because Peyton is laying on me and when I typed the word "optimistic" just now, it auto-corrected to "promiscuous" -glad I caught that one). I love you! -Melissa
